  • Haha, didn’t even notice that! Guess I should’ve paid more attention in school when I picked French as an elective. :))

But honestly… at this point I think I’ll just side with the AI.

Our European track record is tragic comedy, you are absolutely right! We almost got buried in a volcano by part-time footballers from Iceland.

You sell rollmops at stadium? :))

What are the keyplayers of your squad?
  • No, but they don't sell naan cheese at the stadium either, and yet 😉 you should try the flamekuchen at the stadium and then tell us on the forum if there are better dishes in your stadium 😂

    Hello, wonderful Alsaciens!

I’ve wandered onto your forum to learn more about your club and, at the same time, introduce you to Brøndby IF – the club I passionately support.

I’m a dedicated Brøndby IF fan and have created an account here so we can share football culture across borders. You are more than welcome to ask questions about the club, players, fan culture, or Danish football in general.

A brief introduction to Brøndby IF:

Founded: 1964, on the outskirts of Copenhagen.
    Colors: Yellow and blue.
    Nickname: “Drengene fra Vestegnen"

    Major achievements in Denmark:
11 Danish championships (most recently in 2020/21, ending a 16-year wait).
    7 Danish Cup titles.

Fans: Our “Sydsiden” (SouthSide) section is known as one of the most passionate and organized fan bases in Scandinavia and we are very proud about our fanscene. We travel everywhere to watch our heroes on aways and Strasbourg will not be an exception.

This is a short video from Sydsiden at our first match of the season.

    The club today:
Brøndby is in a rebuilding phase, combining experienced players with young talents from our academy. The ambitions remain high: competing at the top of the Danish Superliga, qualifying for European competitions, and nurturing one of Scandinavia’s most passionate fan cultures.

Key players: Nicolai Vallys, Daniel Wass and Noah Nartey.

I look forward to learning more about your club, your history, and your memorable moments. Perhaps we can get to know each other better, both on and off the pitch!

    Hello, beautiful danisch!

Thank you for your kind message and I suppose that "the wonderful alsacien" is me, so I thank you and I answer to you. But, please, don't believe me.

    A brief introduction to RCSA:

Founded: 2023 when Blueco came to save us from poverty
    Colors: All
Nickname: Chelsea brother or the blueco globe trotters

    Major achievements in France:
7th place next year but now we are going to crush little Europe

    Fans: On strike

    The club today:
Strasbourg is the little brother of Chelsea and we are locking for nuggets. Not chicken nuggets but young nuggets from all around the world.

Key players: Don't know it changes to fast

Sorry for my answers but you've to know that I've lot of consideration for Danemark and its people. Like Eric Cantona, a french poete said : "I love you, I don't know why but I love you".

    Quelle tristesse
  • Hi,

Strasbourg have never been a top club in french league despite the fact that the football is very popular in our Alsace region with the best football-licensed rate among the population in France, but it is a respected club with a rich history, we won 1 champion title in 1979, and 6 national cup, the last time was in 2019 which was a real performance knowing that in France it's very hard to win something when you have the Paris Saint-Germain around there.
This club have his up and down but you can be sure that we never boring with this club.
The atmosphere in stadium is known to be one of the best in France even if this atmosphere have changed since there is a a strong dissension among our supporters between the anti-blueco and the pro-blueco.
Our Stade de la Meinau is expected to be full, 24-25 000 spectator knowing that the stadium is currentely under works. (the capacity will up to 32 000 in November)

Brondby was one of the rare and the fews club that I could recognize among our potential adversary, I think we had an very unlucky draw, especially that the return game will take place in Denmark. Our club is known to be very strong in home, you have to know that we lost only one game in The Meinau in our last 20 home european cup game and it was only against the strong Milan AC in 1995 and we were able to beat Frankfurt in 2019 in our last european game in home and that was a good performance.
But, we are known to be lousy away especially when there is some big stake, so I don't expect to win in your stadium and I hope we will make the difference in home first.

And were are very pleased to play Brondby, that's what we think European cup look like, it's a real European game with bigs fans in both sides.

Flamekuchen looks delicious, alot better than rollmops. Hehe.

We’ve got sausages, kebab, pizza – the usual stuff. But I guess it’s pretty expensive for foreigners, so you’d better pack a bag with baguettes, ham and cheese.
  • the flamenkuchen is delicous at the stadium & only for around 7 euros

Yes, it’s a shame that globalization has ruined so much in football. As I understand it, you’re frustrated with your new ownership, and we’re going through a similar kind of ‘transformation’ ourselves.

We’ve been taken over by American owners who also have other football clubs under their wings. It’s a sad development, and that’s why there’s also a certain degree of division among our fans , those who are against it and those who support it. Personally, I’m against it.

Strasbourg has such a proud and rich history, and it deserves to be protected rather than reduced to just another piece in a football business empire. As fans, we both know football is about identity, passion and tradition, not just money. In that sense, I think our struggles are very similar, and it creates a kind of solidarity between our fanbases.

You were exactly the one I had in mind, so it was good that you showed up.

BlueCo Globe Troppers isn’t a completely bad name, but I still prefer your original football name and football history.

We are now part of Global Football Holding (GFH), our new owners, and through them also connected with clubs like ADO Den Haag (Netherlands), Waasland-Beveren (Belgium), AD Alcorcón (Spain), Estoril (Portugal), Augsburg (Germany), Real Salt Lake (USA) and Crystal Palace (England). So I truly understand your frustration.

    Your answers are absolutely accepted.
